Not a bad sequence of roads with some nice elevation changes and sections of good visibility. However area is full of geriatrics from local villages so beware of getting in a caravan of slow movers for a few miles. Also watch the speed bumps in Uppingham!

This one was the first of the day after breakfast on top of the Horse Shoe Pass on 20/11/11. I can see why Evo use this road for pictures etc etc. I would say points A to B are the best but all is a great drive. Esp on a nice bright, dry Novembers morn.

This takes me back to my childhood - days out in the school holidays with my family to the Buttertubs. None of us really knew what the 'buttertubs' were - but about 30 years later I have my answer!

As a member of the IAM Harrogate, I will be driving this again next week, whilst enjoying late school holidays!

Thanks, James - a great site for us driving enthusiasts!

This is a great road but you won't have too much time to admire the scenery. The stretch from St. Ives to Morvah is particularly good.
