The Midlands tick takes you on a scenic journey on the outskirts of Nottingham and Leicester. This route has everything from long straights to tight twisty roads (what we like
). You also pass two old RAF bases (you will probably see the odd couple of gliders flying around / landing on the runways).

Not a bad sequence of roads with some nice elevation changes and sections of good visibility. However area is full of geriatrics from local villages so beware of getting in a caravan of slow movers for a few miles. Also watch the speed bumps in Uppingham!
