About The Route
This is the North East's best driving collation. This route provides most of the best driving roads in the area, covering a total of four counties with a total distance of around 120 miles. Starting in the Ravensworth Arms Pub, Gateshead (just off the A1) From there you will head South West towards Middleton-in-Teesdale, then turn North West heading towards the Heartside Pass (where you could stop at Heartside Cafe for a drink and a bite to eat). From there you will head back East towards Alston, where you will then head North to Bambley. You will then join the millitary road which will take you to the end of the route (Wheatsheaf Pub - near Newcastle Airport)

Warnings:
Two lanes on all the journey, quite narrow in some points. Lorries,Tractors, Bikers and Walkers can be found along route, so be causious. Sheep and snow can also be a problem in the high ground areas. Police like to sit up on this route.
