Wrynose & Hardknott Pass – Lake District

This can be a hard road to get right, in the summer this is a busy destination for walkers and bikers alike, which soon fill the roads up, but in winter the roads are treacherous, so time your drive right. There are places to park up at the bottom of the pass and within a short walk you can see Roman remains, as well as some stunning views.
