This is the most scenic route I’ve ever driven, this is a loop route, which takes you on a 360 degree tour of the Elan Valley, featuring views of two stunning reservoirs.

- Mobile Speed Cameras (hidden in things like horse boxes, and workmen trucks). This has now become a very popular driving route so there could be quite a few car clubs driving this route on a weekend.

roger fryerDrove this road a few months ago. Great road. a number of stopping places.
1 opposite the first the first dam. big pull in on right with picnic tables close to dam on the left.Bike track and tables.spectacular.
2 at the end of the first dam, cross over the bridge, pull in on right with good parking.
and walks.
3 at the beginning of the 3rd dam you can cross over the bridge on the right, car park and picnics.

RickDrove this today, plenty of places to stop and things to look at. Not a “drivers” road, very narrow in places (and loads of roaming sheep) Great day out for the family though. There are toliets at the Craig Goch dam (drive over the dam, toliets on RHS)
